Alumni of the Year Nomination Information

DEADLINE: The deadline for nominations for the 2010 Alumni of the Year Award is Feb. 28, 2010.

PURPOSE: Cape Cod Community College Alumna/Alumnus of the Year Award is to recognize the achievement of one outstanding graduate who has used his/her experience to excel in life and chosen career, and who has continued to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

NOMINATION PROCESS: All Cape Cod Community College alumni are eligible to be nominated. The nomination process can be initiated by anyone. Feel free to nominate yourself, or any other alum who you feel fit the criteria. All nominations must be submitted electronically using the nomination form.

CRITERIA: The judging panel will consider nominees based on the following criteria:

Has the nominee used the leadership skills that were nurtured at Cape Cod Community College to innovate, create and excel in his/her chosen career or the community-at-large including but not limited to notable publications and productions? (40 pts)
Is there evidence that the nominee practices a high level of ethical conduct and social responsibility, including volunteerism? (30 pts)
Has the nominee demonstrated a commitment to and participation in higher education? (20 pts)
Has the nominee demonstrated a continuing interest in and support of Cape Cod Community College and/or its Alumni Association through a contribution of time, talent, or resources? (10 pts)

The Alumna/us of the Year award is presented at Commencement in May each year.
